If you are hitting the road soon for a Spring Break road trip and If you have a dog, then you most likely love to travel with him or her.

However, as much fun as it is to road trip with your pooch, you need to ensure they too are comfortable and safe!

Here is a checklist for you to use when traveling with your dog.

  1.  Bring a bowl for food and water.
  2.  Bring a leash.
  3. Take breaks so your pup can get exercise and use the washroom.
  4.  Bring puppy wipes in case your dog gets car sick.
  5. Pack puppy pads and keep one in the crate in case your dog has an accident.
  6. Line the crate with a pillow and a blanket for comfort.
  7. Pack toys and something to chew on to keep him or her entertained.
  8. Add a blanket to the top of the crate to comfort an anxious puppy.
  9. Bring treats to reward your pooch for good behavior.
  10.  Don't blast your music too loud, as they have sensitive hearing.
  11. Never leave your dog in a vehicle without leaving windows cracked.

Taking this checklist into consideration this spring break or anytime when you decide to travel with your dog in your vehicle will make the drive a lot easier and less stressful for both you and your four-legged friend.
